New Age Limits for Youth Football
April 15, 2016
I wanted to make you aware of an event I am involved with on Thursday, May 26th at Penn Cinema. This topic has been part of conversations my entire l...
Starting with the 2016 season, the Red Rose League has changed the age group rules for youth football. The new age groups are as follows:
D Level: 7 and 8 Year Olds (95lbs)
C Level: 9 and 10 Year Olds (115lbs)
B Level: 11 and 12 Year Olds (140lbs)
A Level: 13 and 14 Year Olds (160lbs)
Age limits are as of September 1, 2016. If you are 8 at the start of the season but turn 9 before September 1, you must play on the C level.
If you have a 6 year old who will turn 7 prior to September 1, we would encourage you to make sure that your child has the maturity level to play football.
Teams will practice 4 days a week in the pre-season for approximately two hours. As the season starts, practices will be 3 days a week.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
